Philippa Bloom Ross is fashion editor at YOU Magazine (she’s currently on maternity leave) and one half of fashion and lifestyle blog We Are Twinset. She and her husband live in northwest London and in May this year they welcomed their first baby, Alfie.
Since the arrival of her son, Philippa says her style has changed and she is much more likely to be in comfy trainers than heels. She has the Jemima Grey and the Edie Weekender Frames, she tells us: "I love my Jem + Bea changing bags, my everyday go-to is the Jemima and I will be travelling with my Edie Weekender over the festive season."
We asked her how she’ll be celebrating her first Christmas as a mum and what’s on her wishlist this year…
Are you a prepared present buyer or is it always a last-minute panic?
Always prepared! I get serious anxiety when I’m not organised.
Are you planning a theme?
I’m not really into ‘themes’ as such, but I like to keep everything classic, tonal and minimalistic. This season I’ll add a touch of gold metallic and crisp green eucalyptus to bring in a festive touch.
What will you do to get into the spirit in the run up to the big day?
I’ve just ordered a Nordic star decoration for my front door, which I can’t wait to put up. It’s festive but with a minimal Scandi look so fits into my style perfectly.
Party outfits or pyjamas?
PJs all day every day.
What’s your favourite thing to indulge in at Christmas?
Movies on the sofa with pyjamas and fluffy slippers.
And finally what’s on your present wishlist this year?
Since having Alfie my style has really changed, I’m constantly in trackies and trainers and so a gorgeous pair of cashmere joggers would be the dream!
